Government has awarded on contract, the construction of the Aboadze- Aboasi, and the Apemanim Junction – Abotareye roads, all in the Shama District. These roads as captured under feeder roads will be bitumen surfaced. A total length of 2.4 kilometers will be constructed on the Aboadze to Aboasi stretch at a contract sum of GHC3,654,094.20. The Apemanim junction – Abotareye road of 11.4 kilometers has a contract sum of GHC10,034,857.84.
Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. (Dr.) Ato Panford disclosed that these projects are expected to be completed within a 12 calendar month.
He noted that these projects coming on stream as a result of his hard work and dedication to support the development of the area.
The Shama Legislator continued that some other road projects as captured under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programm (IPEP) are also underway. He noted that these road projects would give the constituency a face-lift when completed.
