Aduana Stars player Farouk Adams in the grips of the police for allegedly killing a Police Officer



 

Farouk Adams, a Ghanaian football player for Aduana Stars is in the grips of the police after allegedly knocking down a police officer and leaving him for dead.

The accident happened between Asuotiano and Asuhyiae in the Dormaa East Disrict on Monday evening.

The victim, Constable Amos Matter who is posted at the Wamfie Police Station in the Bono Region was found dead on a Tuesday morning when he never returned from leaving his duty to purchase something. The incident appears to  be a hit and run which was by a Toyota Camry, red colour with a registration number GW 5882-17 driven by Farouk
Adams, the Aduana Stars footballer.

The football star was driven from Suyani back to Dormaa after the incident and is now in police custody.

Speaking to eye witnesses, one of them said, the player parked his car at a filling station when he alleges he has knocked down an animal which he stopped and found nothing. He later called the owner of the car and went further to Wamfie Polyclinic to attend to injuries sustained. His car was moved to Suyani by a mechanic whiles he continued his journey to
Suyani in a different vehicle.

He was arrested when he reported the case at the Dormaa Police station at 1:30 pm Tuesday afternoon when a friend told him the incident has caused the death of a person and was arrested at the very moment.

The body of the deceased officer has been deposited at the Presby Hospital at Dormaa whiles investigation into the incident continues.
