One Ghanaian rapper who has come a long way and deserves all the accolades is Sarkodie.
From his humble beginnings from Kasahare Level on Adom FM to becoming a BET award winner on two occasions is no easy feat.
Born Michael Owusu Addo, Sarkodie in his Mile 7 song narrated the struggles he went through at the hands of a caretaker before he was rescued by his mom on a fateful day.
According to Sarkodie, that was the period he discovered himself and in the process, working hard to become the household name he is today.
Well, we have chanced upon a photo where once upon a time in the Ghanaian music industry, Sarkodie was referred to as “co” in a picture he took with Edem and Chris Attoh.
In the picture, it was captioned “Chris Attoh with Ayigbe Edem and co”. The “co” who was an up and coming Sarkodie is now the most decorated rapper on the African continent.
Fast forward to 2021, Sarkodie is now the rapper every musician in Ghana and Africa would want to have a collaboration with.
