Two children have lost their lives in Fawoade in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region, when they allegedly got locked up in a car park.
The kids by name Blessed Yiedie Boadu Boakye, 2, and Emmanuella Ahoto, 3, allegedly got stuck in the trunk of the head pastor of Light Salvation Ministry International, Prophet Evans K. Oppong and suffocated to death.
The trunk of a four-wheel drive with registration number ER 201 – 13 was where the two kids were found on a Easter Sunday during a church service.
According to the mother of one of the victims, her child came to her during the church service but later went out to play withe her friends in the church service.
The mother in her account made it known that, a search was mounted by her and some members of the church after waiting several hours for the child who did not return after her play with friends.
The kids were later found when the church closed. The pastor after going to pick his car home found the kids dead in his car trunk.
According to reports, the kids managed to get in the trunk of the vehicle whiles playing and could not come out of the tinted glass windows which all the doors of the car was locked as well.
After they were found, they immediately rushed them to the Mampong Hospital but were pronounced dead upon arrival. The bodies are currently at the Mount Zion morgue awaiting autopsy. The case is currently being handled by the Mampong District Police Command.
