According to Mr Ernest Nyarko, the Western Regional Statistician, said the institution will be training about 4,000 enumerators for the 2021 Population and Housing Census.
He stated clearly the Ghana Statistical Service will break these enumerator into district where they would be train by regional trainers.
Mr. Ernest Nyarko emphasised that this years’ population and housing census is a process that is into live production of data which means the national will train the regional and the regional to district where they will be deployed to the field to collect accurate data.
“If a trainee do not get the concept at the first stage, it will trickle down to the field enumerators in collecting wrong data”, he added.
However, they need to train people to understand the instrument so that they will all go with voice across the nation.
The Western Regional Statistician in his closing remarks stated that the institution is expected to finish the final training of field officers on the 13th of June, 2021 , where the collection of data for this years’ Population and Housing Census will kick start on Sunday June 27, 2021.
