A man widely known as Uncle Salifu in the Inchaban-Nkwanta community, a suburb of Sekondi-Takoradi of the Western Region has been butchered to death on Thursday, May 27, 2021.
According to an eye witness, he saw the suspect who committed the crime with two bloody cutlasses walking towards him saying, “I killed you because you took something of mine, yes, I’m the one who killed you”.
This got him and his friends suspicious and confronted him as they were able to get rid of the cutlasses. They asked him who he killed and where he kept the body of the deceased but he could not give any reasonable answer.
The witness indicated they suspected the person who was killed to be a farmer because of the type of cutlass they retrieved from the suspect. This alerted them to mount a search in the community farms which they found the body of the deceased, butchered in a pool of blood.
He added that the suspect is not a member of the community and has never seen him before until the day of the incident.
However, the Ghana Police was called to the scene to arrest the suspect for further investigations whiles the body of the deceased was conveyed.
