A prominent Ghanaian music critic and entertainment Journalist claims majority of Ghanaian creatives make money from fraud related activities.
In a recent Facebook post Ricky Tenneson revealed that, the only top-tier Ghanaian recording and performing artiste making “legal and genuine money” from his music/brand is award-winning rap phenom, Sarkodie. He suggested that, other Ghanaian musicians make their money from, blackmails, extortions, slush funds, money laundering, money rituals, credit card fraud etc.
His comments comes at the back of recent publications touting self-acclaimed African dancehall king, Shatta Wale, the richest musician in Ghana, with majority of these publications suggesting he needs to be a case study because he is an epitome of a successful musician.
