Vehicle of Taxi Driver Beheaded by Armed Robbers Found in Tarkwa





The taxi cab which was taken from the deceased by armed robbers in Tarkwa has been found in Aboso, a town near Tarkwa in the Western Region.

A thirty-year-old taxi driver was found dead at Akyempim in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality and his vehicle taken away by the suspected criminals in the late hours of Sunday, May 23, 2021.

According to the car owner, Nancy Quayson narrated the whole incident indicated the vehicle was discovered on Sunday, June 13, at the Aboso Police Station.

Nancy explained that she and her husband rushed to the Aboso Police Station to confirm the information they were getting concerning their missing vehicle. According to her, somebody informed her their missing Toyota Corolla Sports with registration number GG 3189-19 has been impounded by the police.

This prompted her to confirm the information from the CID in charge of the robbery case but was not so sure because the vehicle has been resprayed and other modifications on the vehicle remodified.

However, they had to present documents of the vehicle and compare the chassis number which matched that of the vehicle, confirming they have indeed discovered their missing taxi.
