Award-winning Ghanaian Gospel singer, songwriter and performer Isaac K. Dentu has been ordained as a Deacon by the Church of Pentecost.
This makes Isaac K. Dentu among the few mainstream musicians ordained as deacon by the Church of Pentecost in the Western Region.
At a colourful ceremony at the New Takoradi district branch of the Bethel Pentecost Assembly, The 'Pray Always' composer together with others numbering about 20 were ordained for their willingness to serve and exemplary leadership qualities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prophet Samuel Tete Doku who led the ordination, empowered them to live a meritorious life and as he quoted Exodus 12:14 which says "This is a day to remember. Each year, from generation to generation, you must celebrate it as a special festival to the LORD. This is a law for all time." further charged them to remain faithful, hard-working, and punctual with the activities of the Church.
Meanwhile, Isaac K. Dentu in 2020 won the new artiste of the year at the Western Music Awards and has since been celebrated as one of the best and gifted musicians in the gospel fraternity.
