The nominees for the 2022 edition of the Western Gospel Awards have been announced and it's already shaping up to be a record year for gospel musician, Ewuraba Eesi.
Grabbing seven nominations, 'The Grace' hitmaker is up for awards including the coveted Artiste of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Best Video of the Year, respectively.
About Ewuraba Eesi
Real name Angela Saki Korda, is a well celebrated Ghanaian Gospel singer, songwriter, composer and performer.
Also, as a professional teacher, Ewuraba Eesi holds first degree in political science, post Graduate diploma in Education and Masters in Administration.
She has been in the music industry for more than a decade. With several hit songs such as Gyinapintsin, Perfect love, Aseda, Afehyiapa, et al and an album to her credit.
Ewuraba Eesi sings in twi, fante, english and swahili.
Meanwhile, She used to be called Lady Angie in the early stages of her music career.
She made history by being the first female Gospel musician from the Western region to get nomination at the 2020 National Gospel Music Awards.
She has won many awards in Ghana and beyond, and has performed on major stages (both domestic and international).
And her latest song titled 'The Grace' which she featured popular Ghanaian musician Nero X has been touted by many as one of the best collaborative projects ever in the country.
With her energetic and remarkable stage showmanship, She is regarded as among the top performers in Ghana.
In 2021, she organized a free medical care and health screening which benefitted over 10,000 people predominantly the aged in the Western region.
Ewuraba Eesi who is otherwise known as the Gospel Shatta is married to Mr Bright Ameyaw.
This year's Western Gospel Awards is expected to take place on November 27 2022 in Takoradi.
