NDC Communicator Arrested For Abusing A Minister


New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency of the Western Region who also doubles as the Minister of State at the office of the President, Catherine Ablema Afeku has ordered the arrest of a communicator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Area, who goes by the name, Angate Borzar.

This was after the NDC communicator, who is also a teacher in the area, on alive radio discussions referred to the Minister as a thief. He is also reported to have uttered other abusive words to the minister, which is tantamount to the breach of public peace.

The case was reported to the police who subsequently led to the arrest of the NDC serial caller. The case is currently at the Axim District Magistrate Court, but information coming from the area alleges the young man has spent close to ten (10) days behind bars.

The statement of the case as signed by prosecuting officer, Christiana A. Kwofie indicates, 25 year old, Angate Borzar on 29/04/2020 and 24/06/2020 respectively on a local radio station in Axim in the Nzema East Municapilty, without provocation, used abusive words on the MP. He alleged that Catherine Afeku brought some white men to Axim and robbed them of their properties.

The statement further indicated that, the NDC serial communicator accused Madam Afeku of earmarking ten thousand US dollars ($ 10,000) to perform rituals in her bid to win political power, among many other provocative words to the annoyance of Madam Catherine Ablema Afeku and her associates with the intend to provoke breach of public peace. The case is scheduled to be called today at the Axim District Magistrate Court.
