Prof. Naana Jane celebrates Mother’s Day with orphans in Takoradi

The 2020 running mate of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has visited the Father’s Home Care Ministries In Takoradi to celebrate the 2021 mother’s day with orphans.

Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang was at the orphanage with Former Deputy Education Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and some executives of the NDC in the Western Region.

Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang presented several items including bags of Rice, boxes of oil, Teddy Bears, boxes of mackerel in tomato source, and many others.

She also donated an amount of Five Thousand Ghana Cedis to support the orphans. The kids were full of smiles when Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang shared cooked meals and danced with them.

“This is the day for celebrating mothers but it’s a time where some people also make certain mistakes. It is because they are at fault but has occurred and therefore I decided to spend the day with children who are in such situations. It’s something I’ve been doing over the years, either with orphanage, older women, people who feel abandoned and many others so that’s the whole thought”. She indicated.

She used the opportunity to congratulate all mothers and indicated that they have been through a lot to tolerate all the ‘nonsense’ of their children.

“I want to congratulate every mother. I want to congratulate all of them for what they have endured to bring us here. But I want to salute those who tolerated and cared for us and shared what they have with us. We cannot thank them enough”. She indicated.

Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang also advised teenagers to abstain from early pregnancies.   She says, mistakes are meant to happen in life but there must be the determination to forge on.

”I want the girl child to believe in themselves, the challenges may be there but I think it’s the determination to forge ahead. Some of the challenges they cannot remove and they should call on others who can help. So that the bold in them can come out”. He added.

Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang implored teenagers to abstain and delay motherhood.

“I want to tell the early teenage girls who are becoming mothers that, it is not even healthy to grow a baby in you when you are growing too. Yes, we are all growing all the time but your body must be ready for this important role that you are going to play as a mother.  So I want to appeal to those young girls to delay motherhood. There is no need to rush into it”. She indicated.
