Westline Consult, organizers of the Western Music Awards has hinted that they are considering a virtual concept for this years awards ceremony if the cases of the global pandemic, Coronavirus continues to spared wide.
In an exclusive interview with New Day TV’s Boga Ali Hashim on the measures taking by the Event House in relation to their annual Western Music Awards, the Chief Executive Officer for Westline Consult, Egya Amparbeng said they are currently in talks with their various partners on the way forward and will by the middle of June come up with the road map on this years Awards.
“In fact we have been hit badly by COVID-19; Yes the President has ease the restrictions allowing at least hundred people to gather observing the social distancing protocols, we cannot risk it because considering the numbers that patronize the Western Music Awards”, he said.
“Expectations from both our sponsors and the musician community here in the western region with regards to this years edition of the WMA was super, plans were far advanced to run both TV and radio commercials plus mounting of billboard but this is where we are all because of the coronavirus but it has also taught us some lessons”, he added.
