Celebrated Ghanaian highlife Musician Nana Kwame Nkrumah-Buabeng widely known by his stage name as Nero X paid a courtesy call on Sekondi Hasacaas Ladies at their hotel, Golden Hotel de Marcoury in Abidjan.
The visit was to wish the team well ahead of their final match against Rivers Angels FC of Nigeria in the ongoing WAFU Zone B Women's Champions League Qualifiers in Ivory Coast.
The Ladies will take on the Rivers Angels FC today, Thursday, August 4 at the Stade Robert Champroux, Marcoury.
Meanwhile,The doo ladies do battle their Nigerian counterpart Rivers Angels FC in the final of the maiden edition of WAFU zone B CAF Women's Champions League Qualifiers in Ivory Coast. Rivers Angels FC who are overwhelming favorite for the ultimate have amassed 12 goals in 3 games whereas their Ghanaian have 5goals & conceded 2 before setting up the final.
Earlier in the tournament group B opener pits both sides of which the Nigerians prevailed 2-0. This according to Hasacaas Ladies coach Yusif Basigi believes it is time for revenge on their opponents.
He further said “I'm very optimistic the girls are in good shape, mentally prepared for the final and they can't beat us twice. We learnt a lot of lessons from our defeat and we are truly ready to make Ghana proud". The tournament is set to close on the 5th of August as the bronze final is scheduled to take place at 3pm between Togolese champions Amis Du Monde & Burkina Faso's pride USFA de Ouagadougou.
The gold final will kick at 6:30pm at the Stade Robert Champroux de Marcoury, Abidjan. Evelyn Badu who was the queen of the match in their Semi-final versus USFA is confident of winning the ultimate.
