Evang Amy Newman makes shocking revelation about her life

Celebrated Ghanaian Gospel musician and Evangelist, Amy Newman, has made a shocking revelation about her life.

The revered gospel singer opened up about suffering a depressive episode that nearly took her life.

According to her, she went through a lot some four years ago, adding that all she kept seeing was death. She asserted that it took some spiritual deliverance before she was rescued.

The ‘Tie Me Moborosu’ hitmaker made this revelation while speaking in a candid interview with the host of Connect FM’s Omanbapa morning show, Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson.

“I passed through a lot four years ago, that period was my downtime. For those four years, I passed through depression and I was only seeing death. I could lock myself in the room and the only thing in my mind was death,” she said.

The gospel singer, who doubles as a songwriter and composer further indicated that her newly released track titled ‘Makoma Ahye Ma’ was triggered after she recovered from the depression.

“I wrote this song (Makoma Ahye Ma) in 2009 but after the depression, I decided to release it as a form of my appreciation to God.”

Amy Newman is known for her heart-touching songs such as Okamfo Jesus, Tsei Me Moborosu, God of Mercy, and Seisei Me amongst others.
