The Western Regional Communications Director has stated that former President John Mahama’s ‘Do or die’ statement has rejuvenated the spirit of NDC’s togetherness.
Speaking on Skyy Power 93.5FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show on Thursday, September 9, Mr Richard Kirk Mensah made it known the controversial statement made by Mr Mahama has nothing to do with violence but it is with the aim to resist oppressors rule in the country.
The former President speaking on Akina FM, a Techiman based radio station during his ‘Thank You’ tour indicated that the NDC won the 2020 Presidential elections but were robbed in the process.
He said “The 2020 elections were rigged for the NPP. We have however accepted the ruling of the Supreme Court for the sake of peace. However, come 2024, the NDC will be extra vigilant at the polling stations because that is where the elections are won.”
“So at the polling station [in the next election], it will be do or die. I am not saying all die be die. I’m saying it will be do or die because the right thing must be done,” he added.
Mr Kirk Mensah interpreting the statement indicated they will make sure the right thing is done during the next elections and will resist any attempt by the NPP to martial their forces to overturn the will of the people.
“John Mahama is saying we will make sure the right thing is done, for the Electoral Commission to do the right thing and for all security forces to remain neutral”
Also, he explained Mr Mahama’s ‘Do or die’ statement is what the NDC has been waiting for all this while to rejuvenate the spirit of the party and fight for what is rightfully theirs.
