Ghanaian center-back Riis Opoku Twumasi has joined Moldovan league champions Sheriff Tiraspol, Aduana FC have confirmed.
"Riis Opoku Twumasi joins Moldovan giants Sheriff Tiraspol. Good luck, Riis!" the Fire club posted on social media.
The 19-year-old signed with Aduana from Berekum Chelsea in the buildup to the start of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season but will now spend the remainder of his career in Eastern Europe.
Twumasi, who has represented Ghana at the youth level, made a name for himself locally as a tough and calm player.
His performance drew attention from scouts and ultimately led to his transfer overseas.
Sheriff Tiraspol, who are a regular participant in European club competitions, will be hoping the young player can shore up their defenses even more this season.
