The Ghana Football Association has made the appointment official of Hon. Eric Edem Agbana as the new chairman of the Elite U19 Boys Championship to succeed Abdul Salam Yakubu.
The Ketu North MP and proprietor of Nukunu Sports Academy will oversee the tournament that aims to find Ghana's next sensation.
Agbana is joined by Enoch Agyare Addo (Vice Chairman), Edem Kofi Ansah, Michael Kwabla Fiaduse, and Samuel Owusu Amoah on the five-man committee.
The U19 Championship, which came into existence through the Power to the Youth policy of the GFA, caters for players born in 2007 and gives second-division stars a national platform to shine.
The panel will be responsible for structures of competition, eligibility, and scouting chances to give the best young talents a chance to promote themselves.
