Jorda Ayew strikes as Leicester City fight back for draw at Oxford United

Leicester City fans had something to smile about courtesy of Jordan Ayew whose first-half oal rescued them from defeat in a 2-2 draw with Oxford United at the Kassm Stadium on Saturday.

The Ghanaian striker proved his cleverness in the box, calmly slotting home with 13 minutes of play to cancel out Oxford's opener from Will Lankshear.

Ayew worked tirelessly for the entire 90 minutes, playing in others and restoring the spirits of the away supporters.

His countryman, Fatawu Issahaku, was also impressive with 70 minutes of dynamic winging.

Leicester's effort was also made harder when Aaron Ramsey was sent off early in the first half. Oxford took advantage of the benefit, taking the lead again courtesy of a Boubakary Soumara own goal before the gw's relentless running created room, and in the 55th minute Fatawu set up Ricardo Pereira to curl home the equalizer.

The final whistle resulted in the two teams being rewarded with a share of points, Leicester looking solid while Oxford sprightly. City will now shift their attention to playing Coventry on September 20th.
