Maxline Chelsy Sey, a distinguished broadcast journalist, master of ceremonies, business development manager, and advocate for women’s empowerment, has been honoured at the 2025 Mentorship and Volunteerism Excellence Summit and Awards.
As the station manager of the Takoradi-based radio station Y 97.9 FM, Ms. Sey received the Excellence in Women Empowerment Award.
In a statement shared via social media to convey her gratitude, Ms Sey expressed, “I am incredibly honored and truly humbled to receive the “Excellence in Women Empowerment Award” at the 6th MVE Awards.
This is a recognition of every woman who dares to dream bigger, and every volunteer who works tirelessly with the BOSS Up 100 Foundation over the years and thanks to my amazing team at Y 97.9Fm, Mentorship & Volunteerism Excellence Awards committee, thank you for believing in the importance of mentorship and empowerment.”
Furthermore, she announced, “Watch Out for “The Exceptional Ladies Gathering 2026.”
The sixth Mentorship and Volunteerism Summit and Awards took place at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in Accra on November 15, 2025.
