Bashiru Hayford praises Aduana Stars for a deserved win in Kpando

Bashiru Hayford has conceded defeat after falling short to Aduana Stars on Friday and has congratulated them for a deserved victory in Kpando.

The ‘Ogya’ lads delivered a top-tier performance to narrowly edge the Giant Killers by 1-0 at the Kpando Sports Stadium in a thrilling match-day 14 opener of the Ghana Premier League.

The game was very even right from onset with both teams coming up at each other in a very dramatic fashion but Patrick Mensah’s goal in the 50th minute from a very tight angle made the difference in the end.

Bashiru Hayford, in a post-match presser, commended the performance of Aduana Stars stating they really have a strong backline and really deserve to be in the title race.

“This is how football is. We did everything. I will give credit to the defenders of Aduana FC. They defended gallantly, and I’m not surprised how they are on the table. Congratulations to them.”

Heart of Lions with another heartbreak having received their second straight defeat for the first time this season and are most likely to drop out of the top four after this round depending on results from other games. They travel to FC Samartex next.
