As part of the President’s Resetting Agenda, the Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal Assembly has begun the drilling of a mechanized borehole to provide safe and potable water for residents of Sefwi Ahwia in the Sefwi-Wiawso Municipality.
The ongoing project forms part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to improve access to clean water and address persistent water challenges in communities across the municipality.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Dominic Gyasi, recently visited the site to inspect the progress of work.
During the inspection, he reaffirmed the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that residents have access to safe and reliable drinking water, describing water provision as a critical component of the government’s development and resetting agenda.
Mr. Gyasi assured the people of Sefwi Ahwia that the Assembly will continue to prioritize interventions that improve living conditions and promote public health.
He further acknowledged the role of the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Kofi Afful Benteh, noting that through his dedication and advocacy, similar water projects will be extended to other communities in the municipality in due course.
Residents of Sefwi Ahwia welcomed the initiative and expressed optimism that the mechanized borehole, once completed, will significantly ease the community’s water challenges.
The Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal Assembly says it remains committed to delivering sustainable development projects that directly improve the lives of its people.
