ZEN Petroleum Stocks Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital With PPE


The Medical Stores at Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital has had its stock replenished with some essential items to aid the fight against the novel coronavirus. A donation, valued at Fifty thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC50,000.00) was made today by leading indigenous Ghana Oil Marketing Company; ZEN Petroleum, to the hospital.

The items includes; 100 boxes of face masks, 400 boxes of examination gloves, 30 gallons of 5L sanitisers, 200 bottles of 200ml sanitisers, 6 infrared thermometers and 50 gallons of disinfectants.

Logistics and Supply Chain Manager, Rodger Larbi-Amoah explained that their intervention formed part of their corporate social responsibility. He added that fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, requires the private sector support and enhance government’s effort in protecting lives and ultimately mitigate the undesired impact of the pandemic.

“Takoradi is an environ we have our business established, and so we cannot sit down aloof and watch what is going on with the COVID-19 pandemic. So we decided to help. Government cannot do it all alone.
“…and this will not be the first and neither will it be the last. This is just the beginning” he said.

Administrator for the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Mr. Michael Danso commended the company for their responsive approach to ease the burden of stocking their stores with PPE which get depleted quiet often.

“We are very thankful for not only what we need but also in good quantities that will last us quiet some time” he noted.

So far the Western Region has recorded a total of 421 cases of COVID-19, with the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis and Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal being the epicenters.
