She joined the Armed Forces Band in 1995, moving to the Air Force Band in Takoradi, where she similarly became well known and earned the nickname "Mama Gee."
Naa Shika has produced two successful albums in a career with the Armed Forces spanning more than three decades.
Her debut album, "Yesu Asor," released in 2004, was conceived out of a passionate need to reveal the greatness of God through her songs.
The title of her debut single was conceived in a life-transforming prayer session, where she powerfully felt the need to share her faith through music.
"I wanted my songs to depict not only my encounter but also God's sovereignty and love,".

She also finds time for her family in spite of her busy schedule and is passionate about mentoring future gospel artists.
"I find great joy in sharing my experiences and assisting others in finding their voices," she indicated.
