The Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) has officially been inaugurated to enhance sustainable development within the region.
Chaired by Hon. Joseph Nelson, the Western Regional Minister, the council includes representatives from twenty-two regional departments, fourteen metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies (MMDAs), as well as various public institutions and agencies.
The swearing-in ceremony took place in Takoradi on Tuesday, September 16, where Hon. Joseph Nelson administered the official and secrecy oaths to council members.
The event saw the participation of heads from MMDAs, departmental representatives, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders in the region.
During the inauguration, Hon. Joseph Nelson emphasized the importance of adhering to the oaths, highlighting the legal implications of any breaches.
He urged council members to remain committed to their responsibilities and support the president in his agenda for revitalizing Ghana.
